West Ham United are a British soccer team from East London founded by ironworkers with strong working class roots. This logo incorporates the shape from an older West Ham United crest, the crossed hammers West Ham is known for, and the iconic U.S. Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. to tie it all to the Nation's Capital. The colors used are claret and blue, the official colors of West Ham United. The logo was subsequently used for enamel pins, embroidered patches, and vinyl stickers.
